* Outlook Corporate email plan requires an additional fee to receive on the Blackberry.
While buying your domain you will be asked to choose an email plan. If you already have a domain name and you just need to buy your email plan, then you can view the available the email plans as follows:
- Go to http://InternetDirectSolutions.com
- Click on the “Email Accounts” menu tab at the top of the page.
- Choose “Email Plans” from the resulting drop down menu.
The three available webmail plans are shown on the resulting page in columns.
To select a plan, click anywhere inside the column with the plan details. When a plan is clicked on the “Add To Cart” button is shown on that plan.
The fourth plan is Microsoft Outlook 2010 Hosted Exchange. You can access this through “Email Accounts” menu at the top of the InternetDirectSolutions.com Home page. Microsoft Outlook is a very powerful email system. I love using it, but it is not for the faint of heart. If you haven’t used Outlook before, you may want to stay with one of the webmail plans above.
Once you have decided on your plan, add it to your cart and follow the on-page directions for the checkout process.
It’s as simple as that.
Once you purchase your domain and your plan you will receive an email detailing how to configure your email. If you do not receive this email for some reason, you can call support 24/7 at the phone number listed at the top right hand corner of the Internet Direct Solutions website. They will guide you through the process of setting up your webmail account. If you are purchasing the Hosted Outlook Exchange plan, it does take a day or so to get everything set up. However, having worked in companies where it normally took three days to two weeks to get an outlook account set up, a day is not bad. The reason it takes this long for the hosted exchange email is the system has to configure itself for several different settings. When I got my own Outlook plan from my site, support walked me through how to configure my outlook account and they can do the same for you. If you do choose the Outlook plan, the really cool thing is that you get a free downloadable copy of Microsoft Outlook for your computer. Another nice thing about the Outlook plan from my reseller site is that you have an upgrade option so that your Outlook email will work on your Blackberry phone.
